What you can buy
- Charger only. We supply the charger. You arrange installation by a licensed electrician.
- Install only. You supply a charger. We install it as a standard install.
- Charger and install. We supply the charger and install it as a standard install.
Online orders are for addresses in Greater Sydney. The postcodes we cover are listed on the shop page.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
- You pay in full when you order, through Stripe’s secure checkout. We do not see or store your card number.
- We send you a tax invoice.
What a standard install is
The fixed install price covers the work listed under “What a standard install covers” on the shop page. That list forms part of these terms.
- Before we book, we check your site from the photos and answers you give us.
- If your site needs work outside a standard install, we send you a written quote for the difference before any work starts.
- You can accept the quote, or decline it. If you decline, we refund your install payment in full.
- If we find something on the day that could not be seen from the photos, we stop, tell you, and quote it before going further.
Booking and the day of the install
- We contact you to agree a day.
- An adult needs to give us access to the switchboard and the charger location.
- The power will be off for part of the job.
- We will not carry out work that would be unsafe or would not comply with the Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000). If that is the case, we explain why and what would fix it.
- Every install is certified with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, with a copy provided to you.
If you supply the charger
- It must be approved for use in Australia, undamaged, complete, and supplied with its installation instructions.
- It must suit a single-phase 32 A circuit to be a standard install.
- If a charger has no built-in DC fault protection, the Wiring Rules call for a Type B safety switch. That costs extra, and we quote it first.
- If we cannot safely install the charger you supply, we refund your install payment in full.
- The charger’s own warranty stays with whoever sold it to you. We are responsible for our installation work.
Delivery
- We deliver chargers within Greater Sydney.
- Delivery is extra on charger-only orders. We confirm the delivery cost with you before we send anything.
- If you order a charger with an install, we bring the charger on the day. There is no delivery charge.
- Check the charger when it arrives and tell us straight away if anything is damaged or missing.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
- Before we dispatch or install: you can cancel for a full refund.
- Site not a standard install: if you decline our quote for the extra work, we refund your install payment in full.
- Faulty, damaged or not as described: you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. See below.
- Change of mind after delivery: contact us. We are not required to refund a change of mind, but we will consider returning a charger that is unopened and unused.
- Refunds go back to the payment method you used.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
Chargers we supply also carry the manufacturer’s warranty. Its terms are set by the manufacturer and come with the product. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
